I love using tingsha for sound healing, these lovely cymbols are easy to use and take anywhere, i wouldn't be without mine




over a 25 year healing and teaching journey i am sharing with you some starter points to use tingsha for healing

TINGSHA HISTORY

Tingsha have been used since ancient times especially revered in Buddhism as a sacred healing tool. 


Tingsha are one of the most easy instruments to use for meditation and healing, when struck they release a beautiful resonant sound (depending on where and what they are made from), every tingsha have a unique note and this note can be used for more in-depth sound healing

  • SPACE CLEARING

  • HEALING

  • CEREMONY

  • SACRED CIRCLE WORK

  • JOURNEYING

  • HANG UP FOR LUCK AND PROTECTION

  • FOR PRAYERS AND INTENTIONS

  • MEDITATION

USING YOUR TINGSHA

Your tingsha are a sacred tool, they will help heal you cleanse and yourself and your space


  • SIT AND CONNECT feel the weight, shape of your tingsha, look at the decorations and observe the beauty of your tingsha visually

  • SMUDGE YOUR TINGSHA you can now smudge your tingsha

  • BLESS YOUR TINGSHA do a simple ceremony to welcome it to your possession

  • SET INTENTIONS set any intention of what you want to use your tingsha  for   

  • PLAY with the sound of your tingsha, find out what ‘energy’ it holds for you, what sounds do and don’t you like

  • give them a name (if one comes)

  • Keep your cymbals somewhere SACRED such as in a special bag, place or box




PLAYING THE TINGSHA

Here are a few ways to use your tingsha to get you started:


HOLDING TINGSHA

  • Hold one in each hand the cord relaxed and out of the way

  • Play the tingsha in whatever way you like, play with different strikes

  • rim to rim

  • Edge to edge

  • One on top of the other

  • What sounds best to your ear? (There is no right and wrong)
